More About Me
My background includes a double major in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Baylor University. This diversity in studies created a more well rounded skill set in the business atmosphere that would translate fluidly into sales. This was demonstrated in my recent internship with Gartner Inc. focused around Business Development and Sales, specifically consultative selling. I was responsible for initiating the sales cycle with C-Level Executives and IT Leaders in order to support their digital platforms and initiatives. Looking at companies at an Enterprise level in order to better understand their problems and properly align resources was a skill I refined during my time at Gartner and I would be excited to bring to future work places.
I have been involved in a number or organizations while at Baylor, most professionally applicable is the Baylor Incubator. The purpose of the Incubator is to start with a business idea and walk though the necessary steps to implementation. I was working on an online based peer-to-peer boat rental platform similar in concept to Airbnb. By necessity, I became familiar with online platforms such as WordPress and Shopify and grew my understanding of digital business. In order to add this onto a full class schedule I also improved upon my organizational skills and scheduling. The digital skills I picked up through this process align well with the technology focused culture of the future.
